Through 96 NFL games, Kansas City Chiefs three-time MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes has already thrown for 28,424 yards and 219 touchdowns, raising the question of when the 28-year-old superstar will shatter his next passing milestone.
That milestone is 250 passing touchdowns, which Mahomes is 31 scores shy of entering the 2024 NFL regular season, which begs the question of which unfortunate opponent will be the one to surrender the magical score in 2024.
For all the latest information on Mahomes and the Chiefs’ Week 1 clash against the Baltimore Ravens, check out the BetKansas.com preview of the clash here, as two NFL MVP QBs will duke it out under the bright lights of Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 5.
For now, BetKansas.com broke down the odds on which NFL team will give up Mahomes’ 250th passing touchdown, with a slew of AFC foes being the most likely teams to suffer such a fate this fall.
Week | Opponent | Odds | Percent Chance |
13 | Las Vegas Raiders | +600 | 14.3% |
14 | Los Angeles Chargers | +450 | 18.2% |
15 | Cleveland Browns | +350 | 22.2% |
16 | Houston Texans | +450 | 18.2% |
17 | Pittsburgh Steelers | +900 | 10.0% |
18 | Denver Broncos | +1250 | 7.4% |
| The Field | +900 | 10.0% |

Right now, we’re going with either the Cleveland Browns (+350) or Houston Texans/Los Angeles Chargers (+450 each) as the most likely foes to give up that 250th passing touchdown to Mahomes and company.
That’s why we list those three teams atop our Mahomes odds board, with K.C.’s Week 13 home clash against the Las Vegas Raiders on Nov. 29 (+600) and their Week 17 showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day (+900) as the longest of longshots to give up that 300th score.
While Mahomes still has miles to go to catch NFL leaders like Tom Brady (649 TD passes), Drew Brees (571 TD passes), Peyton Manning (539 touchdown passes) or Brett Favre (508 touchdown passes), there’s still reason to celebrate the milestones along the way.
Given the fact that the 28-year-old out of Texas Tech has averaged 31.3 passing touchdowns per season so far, it’s not out of the question that Mahomes can chase down Brees or Manning, as he’d have to average that number through 20 seasons to hit 626 scores for his career, which would put him second behind Brady.
While we don’t know how long Mahomes will stick around at his current talent level, we do know that the Chiefs are favorites to win their third straight Super Bowl across some of Kansas’ top mobile sportsbooks, with odds ranging from +500 to +550 depending on the operator.
