Best Tailgating In The AFC West: Where Do The Kansas City Chiefs Rank?

Fact Checked by Thomas Leary

One could argue right now that it’s the Kansas City Chiefs' world and we’re simply living in it, as the AFC West squad looks to become the first NFL franchise to ever “three-peat” as Super Bowl champs in 2025.

Kansas City has won 10 or more games every season since 2015, illustrating the club’s steadfast commitment to excellence since head coach Andy Reid arrived at the Crossroads in 2013.

During that time, the Chiefs have won it all three times, doing so in 2019, 2022 and 2023, while falling just short in 2020 against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and losing in the AFC Championship Game to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021.

Chiefs The Top Tailgating Spot in the AFC West

Given Kansas City’s on-field success over the last decade and the team’s legendary gameday setup at Arrowhead Stadium, it’s likely of little surprise to learn that the Chiefs scored the top total of any team in the AFC West when it comes to gameday revelry.

Overall, the Chiefs finished with 194 points, ranking ahead of the Denver Broncos, who had 182 points, while the Las Vegas Raiders had 162 points and the lowly Los Angeles Chargers brought up the rear with a total score of 145.

It seems that all the Chiefs do is win, whether it be on any given Sunday or when it comes to the commitment shown by fans on gamedays across the fall in the sprawling parking lots of Arrowhead Stadium during the NFL season.

That commitment resulted in another divisional championship for the franchise, as Kansas City adds a tailgating crown to the eighth straight division crowns that the club has taken home on the gridirons of the NFL’s western flank.
