In Kansas, there have been 12 Powerball winners, with the Sunflower State ranking in a tie with New York and California for the 10th most nationally.

Whether it be the anonymous winner that took home a $92.9 million jackpot at Cosentino’s Price Chopper in Overland Park in 2022 or a number of other similar stories, there’s no shortage of good news for Kansas Powerball players over the years.
The largest Jackpot winner in Kansas since 2000 was a $96.6 million haul by Donald Damon at Dillons in Great Bend back in 2009, knocking off the Overland Park winner’s haul from last year on a statewide basis.
Although Kansas has featured a number of big winners, it might be easier to make a steady win with Kansas sports betting apps.
Overall, Kansas has produced 12 Powerball winners, ranking behind national leaders Indiana (39 winners), Missouri (31), Minnesota (22), Wisconsin and Pennsylvania (19 apiece).
Kansas finished directly behind Arizona’s 14 Powerball winners, while Kentucky (18), Louisiana (17) and Florida (16) were the other states to make their way into the top 10.
